Fall Family Bucket List

Fall comes in hot (and by hot, I mean Arizona’s still out here acting like it’s July), but I refuse to miss the magic. The older my kids get, the more I realize it’s the tiny moments that make the season feel good. Not the Pinterest-perfect stuff. Not the “drive three hours to find an actual leaf” stuff. Just little things we can do as a family that feel cozy and fun.

Here’s our Fall Family Bucket List this year. Nothing fancy. Nothing requiring a spreadsheet. Just easy wins that make the season feel magical.

Bake Something That Makes the House Smell Like Fall

Banana bread. Pumpkin muffins. Cinnamon rolls from a can. Literally anything warm and sugary. The goal is vibes, not perfection.

Decorate a Little Corner of the House

Not the whole house. Not the yard. Just one cozy corner with a candle, a fake pumpkin, and maybe a $5 throw pillow that says “Harvest” for reasons unknown.

Pumpkin Photo Ops

We all know the kids will fight us the entire drive there, then act like influencers in training once we arrive. Worth it.

Backyard S’mores Night

No campfire required. A fire pit, the stove, or even a candle if you’re desperate. It still counts.

Make a Simple Fall Craft

We’re talking construction paper leaves. Maybe paint a pumpkin. Maybe let the kids glue things until your table cries.

Find One Local “Fall-ish” Event

A farmer’s market. A fall festival. A craft fair. Anything that lets you walk around holding overpriced kettle corn.

Get Outside at Least Once While It’s Not Miserable

A walk, a park, a bike ride. The bar is low and we love that for us.

Fall doesn’t need to be complicated. It just needs to feel warm, cozy, and a little bit magical.
